Kevin Turen, the producer of Euphoria, died at the age of 44

Kevin Turen, known for his contributions to HBO’s Euphoria and The Idol, died at the age of 44. A spokesperson for Penske Media Corporation, The Hollywood Reporter’s parent company, confirmed the unexpected news. According to Jay Penske, CEO of PMC, despite his Hollywood successes, Kevin’s deepest passion was his family and friends. Kevin’s father, Edward Turen, expressed his heartfelt grief, emphasizing Kevin’s commitment to instilling values in his children in order to have a positive impact on the world. Kevin Turen, a Columbia University graduate, was born in New York City in 1979 and rose through the ranks of the film industry, rising from Capital Entertainment to president of production at First Look Studios.

His career progressed with positions at Infinity Media and Treehouse Pictures, where he produced films such as Arbitrage and All is Lost. Kevin’s collaboration with Sam and Ashley Levinson resulted in the formation of Little Lamb Productions, which produced hits such as Euphoria and Malcolm and Marie. His collaboration with director Ti West, as well as upcoming projects such as Maxine, highlighted his diverse contributions to cinema. Kevin Turen’s wife, Evelina, and their two sons, Jack and James, survive him.
